New Socks

New Socks

By Tim Beggs ( Contact )   July 1, 2008

Back in High School my buddy Mark Gorman wrote about his socks in Mr. Lord's Class. I'll always remember how he got in front of class and said: "I hate my socks" and read to us why he disliked his socks? I've been thinking about Mark and his story while going through my own sock drawer. I've got some pair that have got to be 12 years old. It's tough for a guy to part with some of his favorite socks.

Since my St. William Crusader days I've always worn 2 pair of socks at once. I guess it all started while playing basketball and needed the support. Since then I've always worn 2 pair at once. I got 2 pair on right now and if you ever see me I'll bet I'll be wearing 2 pair of socks.

I'm not the only guy who dabbles in this trend. Another buddy of mine also is in the habit of wearing 2 pair of socks. I asked him how long he's been doing it and he said it dated back to his Franklin Falcon days. he also wears boots alot and says the doubling up gives him more support and if he ever needs a rag in the middle of nowhere he's got one, or I guess 2?

As long as you spread out your socks equally between your two feet, you're good!
