Rich's Picks for Atlanta

Rich's Picks for Atlanta

By Rich Bickle ( Contact )   March 4, 2010

219 mph in a stock car is a touchy situation. Hard describin' what it feels like movin' that fast, but it was on Atlanta Speedway back in the mid '90s. The pucker factor was off the charts. A bug splat on the windsheild coulda sent me flyin', had me testing the laws of physics. That was before they messed with the track in '96. Atlanta used to be more round with wide corners. They took out the cookie cutter, changed it almost identical to Vegas, Charlotte and Texas.

Gordon's been knockin' on the door. Last pit if they put 4 tires on instead of just the right 2, he wins last week. Kurt Busch owned Atlanta last year leading almost wire to wire. Should give him confidence.

Anybody out there got an opinion on Dale Jr's start this year?

Good Luck!
