President Obama's Speech To Our Kids

President Obama's Speech To Our Kids

By Ken Scott ( Contact )   September 10, 2009

To begin with I must tell you that in political affiliation I lean to the right. So when I first heard about the President's speech to address school kids, I thought, "great! more propaganda"! But I had the opportunity to listen to the speech on our sister station WCLO and I thought the speech was just a good, uplifting speech with a great message for our kids! Simply put, President Obama encouraged kids to do their patriotic duty which is simply to stay in school, learn and graduate. I think those words coming from the President of the United States, even if you didn't vote for him, mean a lot. Since it wasn't viewed in Janesville Schools I encourage you to find it online and have your kids watch it.

I just want to say thank you. It is refreshing to know that someone actually used common sense regarding the President's speech. You actually heard what he was saying.
