Brooks & Dunn Cancel Summerfest Appearance

By Justin Brown ( Contact )   June 24, 2010

Nashville, Tenn. — Brooks & Dunn are postponing and canceling some of the dates on the country duo's Last Roundup Tour - including next Tuesday's headlining show at Summerfest's Marcus Amphitheater.

A news release from Sony says Ronnie Dunn's ailing voice has forced the postponement of some tour dates and the cancellation of shows in Milwaukee and Fort Loramie, Ohio. The tour is scheduled to resume July 16 in Indianapolis.

According to Brooks & Dunn's website, Dunn was put on vocal rest for three weeks. The site quotes Dunn, via text message, saying: "Following my doctor's order, shutting up, getting well and comin' back asap!"

The Last Roundup is Brooks & Dunn's farewell tour. The bestselling duo act of all time - in any genre - have been together since 1991.
