Reedsburg - Law enforcement officials were still looking Friday for an 8-year-old Sauk County boy who went missing two days before.

The Sauk County Sheriff's department says Joseph Anderson's father reported him missing around 9 p.m. Wednesday. He was last seen about 3 p.m. when he went outside alone to play in the Town of Reedsburg.

The state Department of Justice issued a statewide endangered missing persons alert Thursday that went to police across Wisconsin as well as hospitals, shopping malls and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Anderson was wearing a red shirt and red shorts with black stripes. He is described as about 4 feet tall with brown hair and very friendly.

If anyone has information about the boy, the Sauk County sheriff's office can be reached at 608-356-4495
