NFL = National Favre League?
He's retiring. Say it isn't so Brett.
Wait! He's coming back. Oh good.
Wait a second. No he isn't. (urgh!)
O.K.? Yes he is. But not with the Packers. What? Are you serious? What is going on? My mind and heart hurts after the NFL has been turned into the National Favre League.
Nothing against Aaron Rogers. I just want Brett back. Will I root for Aaron when/if he's the starter? Absolutely! I'll jump on that bandwagon from day 1. Why? Because I'm a true Packers fan. And let me say for the record while I'm at it, that I've been extremely impressed by Aaron's actions and comments in the media.
So don't hate me for wanting my 3-time MVP, record setting QB, the same guy who last January led the Packers through the Playoffs, to lead the team for another season.
I think that Brett started this. Obviously! He retired and now has changed his mind. But the season hasn't started yet. There is time. It pains me to hear how the "Packers have moved on" so quickly. What? Did you re-write the play book? You honestly don't think that Brett will give you 110% and be "totally committed? You think that Brett doesn't give you the best chance to win?
The Packers may have "moved on", but it's going to take some time for me to do the same.
What's also interesting is my cousin Todd who is a die-hard Packers fan and just happens to live in Tulsa, Oklahoma asked me, "So how are most of the fans in your area? What are they saying?"
He couldn't believe it when I told him I'm not in the majority. He was just as shocked when I mentioned the number of callers and emails saying "Let him go!" or "Move on."
My cousin's reply, "What would Ron Wolf do? I'm sure he wouldn't allow Brett to slip through the Packers fingers. Not after everything he's done for Green Bay."
It's interesting to hear the "difference" of opinion on this matter from different locations of the state. My father who lives in Northern Wisconsin seems to side with me. My 'unscientific research' has concluded that the closer to Green Bay you are, the more you want Brett back. The closer you get to Milwaukee, Madison and Chicago, most of you are saying "Good riddens."
I wonder how this will change after the 1st several games?
So how do you feel? If you completely disagree with me, that's o.k.

It's the Packers Loss, Brett's gain. I can't wait to see Ted Thompson with egg on his face when his love child gets hurt, and the Team goes 0-16, for being an understudy of Ron Wolfe, he didn't learn much from him. I know Ron would have handled this alot different.

Very well put Jdog! Its as if you took some words right out of my mouth. There isn't much doubt in my mind that by signing those trade papers and the manner of which the organization treated Brett, the next train is already in route to Green Bay and the stooges are the only one way ticket holders to get on board. Any dog could tell you that you just don't bite the hand that has fed you prime rib everyday for 16 years. Hope they understand Karma.

So long Brett. I think the next time the train leaves the station in Green Bay, the 3 stooges should be on it. Mark Murphy? He doesn't have a clue yet. Ted Thompson? He didn't like the fact Brett was bigger than he was plus he want's to have the fame that he was the guy that brought Roger's in like Harlan was for bringing Brett in. Mike McCarthy? He didn't like Brett changing audibles at the line because he felt it interfered with his game plan. All stupid reason's to part ways with a legend. Brett is the Green Bay Packers. Brett is Wisconsin. So long Broadway Brett. Go Jet's.

Just ordered my New JETS jersey!! I'm so disappointed in the Packers right now. I will always be a Packer fan, but I will always question their loyalty to their players and fans. It also looks like I will need to find a place that will have the JETS games on on sunday.

I cannot believe the Packers are moving on without Brett. They owe it to him. Look at what he has brought them in the last 16 years. How would the PAckers mainly Ted Thompson respond if the stands were completly empty Monday Nite or any other gsme day? Ted should be replaced asap. I am tired of hearing about Brett's ego I must be watching a different Sports report because I haven't notice any big head or ego trips from him in 16 years. I can't say that about Thompson, Next as Al as said in his Sports reports this would have been handled differntly if BOB HARLAN were still in charge.

I think with Brett's past performances he should have been allowed to come back right away and been given the starting postion.
We all make choices in our lifes and change our minds, so Brett is human like the rest of us?
It was one of Farve's best seasons in 2007 and the Packer management is turning their backs on one of the best players in the Packers history????
With the season Brett and the team had last year what is the Packer Organization thinking????
