Big Red Bash-SOLD OUT
Back in August my wife and I took a mini vacation up to Green Bay. We were actually up there to see our friend Dale Watson and his Lone Stars at Oneida Bingo & Casino in Green Bay. We usually make this trip once a year and it's a great time to catch up with Dale and the guys in the band.
One night after Dale was finished playing we sat down and were talking about what a great event "The Big Red Open II" turned out to be this year. And as usual I had my list of hello's from friends that Dales met at the past two outings. As I was going through the lists of messages and hello's. Dale says "Red I'd like to come down to Janesville and do a show for you, and Wiggy and all the great people I've met down there." Well over the years I've had alot of artist tell you something that you want to hear and never come through. But I knew if there was a way to pull this off Dale would do it.
So I came back to Janesville and threw the idea at Wiggy. And from moment on Wiggy was on board for this one. I talked to Dale again and we got it so the date would end up being on my birthday, January 16th. So with alot of help from Wiggy, Custom Xero Graphics, The Baymont Inn, and WJVL "Big Red's Birthday Bash" was born.
Now to get to the amazing part of the story. Wiggy's Saloon has a capacity of 99 people, So this isn't going to be a big crowd. And by law we are unable to squeeze anybody else in the establishment. Which I knew might cause a bit of a problem because tickets would go fast. And there would be people left out on this show.
We announced the October 11th at 9:10am. And as of 10am the next day the show was officially "SOLD OUT". Now Wiggy is putting together a waiting list in case someone decides to get rid of a ticket or can't go. But I want to personally THANK everyone who went out and got a ticket to spend my birthday with me, Dale, Wiggy, and my friends and family for what's gonna be a great night of Honky Tonk music and celebrating!!
