A free public service forum where attendees will get information, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations about all types of vision loss and how it can be accommodated. Participants can try out the latest technologies that enable people with any degree of vision loss--including total blindness--to read, use computers and PDAs, work, travel, and remain independent. May 22 is Blindness Day; May 23 is Low Vision Day. Hosted by the Badger Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired located at 912 N. Hawley Road in Milwaukee. To register call 1-800-336-5658.

The focus of the groups is knitting but needle-crafty people of all ages and genders with different levels of expertise are always welcome. Free knitting or crochet lessons, as well as troubleshooting stitching problems, is also available.
